Meet Smith

My best friend/cousin Heather and her husband, Steve had a precious baby boy on July 5! They named him Smith. He is a precious angel. I was lucky enough to go meet him. They live in Tucson, AZ. So, two weeks ago I got on a plane and went on a mini vaca by myself. I left out Sunday morning and stayed til Thursday morning. All we did was sit around, holding the baby, eating junk food and watching TV. It was an AMAZING vacation. I couldn't think of a better way to spend it.

I miss Heather and Smith so much. It breaks my heart that they live so far away. Hopefully, I get to take another trip out there in October. Keeping my finger crossed. Here are a few pictures of Smith.

God Gave Me You

The first time I heard this song I feel in love. I got a little emotional listening to it because all I could think about was Wes and my beautiful children. I'm so blessed and I need to start thanking GOD everyday for what he has gave me. I'm SO BLESSED!!

"God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton

I’ve been a walking heartache
I’ve made a mess of me
The person that I’ve been lately
Ain’t who I wanna be

But you stay here right beside me
And watch as the storm blows through
And I need you

Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it’s true
God gave me you
Gave me you

There’s more here than what we’re seeing
A divine conspiracy
That you, an angel lovely
Could somehow fall for me
You’ll always be love’s great martyr
And I’ll be the flattered fool
And I need you

God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it’s true
God gave me you

On my own I’m only
Half of what I could be
I can’t do without you
We are stitched together
And what love has tethered
I pray we never undo

Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it’s true
God gave me you, gave me you.
He gave me you.

DAY TWENTY SIX

DAY TWENTY SIX--------------A PHOTO OF PLACE YOU HAVE BEEN

Well, I  haven't traveled very much. I've only been as far north as Virginia. And I've gone out west a few times to Arizona. And that's about it. Yea, I know, pretty lame. But that will soon change....I HOPE!!

I LOVE Arizona. And I leave to go back in ONE WEEK!! CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Is it November yet?!

So, who all is excited about "Breaking Dawn" coming out?! I know one person who is----THIS GIRL! I just can't believe we have to wait til November then wait God knows how long until the Part 2 comes out. BLAH! I'm so curious to find out how they are going to do certain scenes like when Edward and Bella are "first together" and the birth scene. CAN'T WAIT!  But I've found some pictures that will try to keep us satisfied until November gets here, maybe! :)

DAY TWENTY THREE

DAY TWENTY THREE-------------15 FACTS ABOUT MYSELF

I know its been a while since I've blogged but I've been sick and we also had a death in the family. My sweet Aunt Geraldine passed away yesterday morning. It's breaking my heart in two. She will be missed terribly!

ANYWAY, on to a happy note.....15 facts about ME!

1) Everyday I change my mind about having more kids. I guess it all depends on if my kids are being good or not! Haha

2) I HATE cotton balls. I hate they way they feel. It sends chills down my spine just thinking about it!!

3) I love the Food Network and could watch if 24/7

4) My nickname as a child was "Moo" and it has been that since then.

5) I hate doing laundry. I think I would rather cut my own arms off and beat myself with them! :)

6) I cringe whenever someone smacks their food or gum. I can not stand it.

7) I put more cream and Equal in my coffee then actually coffee and I blame this on my momma b/c that's the way she drinks her coffee.

8) I have been best friends with my cousin, Heather since the day she was born. Sadly, she moved to Arizona 5 years ago and I only get to see her maybe twice a year! BUT I'm leaving to go visit her and her newborn baby born in 12 days! YAY!

9) I love celebrity gossip. I don't know why I'm so attractive to it but I can't stop myself.

10) I talk to my mom everyday.

11) I LOVE the beach but I hate getting sandy!

12) Halloween is my favorite holiday! .

13) I HATE summer!!! I hate the heat. This girl wants it to be 65 degrees ALL YEAR LONG!

14) I love a good nap but I always feel horrible when I wake up from it.

15)  Everyone says I look just like my momma! I guess that's a good thing!? :)

The Perfect Pina Colada

A few weekends ago, we went to Prattville to visit with our cousin, Mary and she made this Pina Colada for me. OH MY GOODNESS, its WONDERFUL! And its sooooo easy!

First you get about a cup of ice and put it in your blender until it looks like snow.

Then you add one shot glass of Pineapple juice

Then add one shot glass of Cream of Coconut (make sure you shake the can before adding it)

THAT'S IT! Blend it to mix and the serve.

For a special topping, I toast coconut flakes on the stove top and sprinkle on top. DELISH!

Of course, to make it an adult beverage you could add a shot of Coconut Rum.

It is so simple and so delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day!

ENJOY!

DAY TWENTY TWO

DAY TWENTY TWO--------- BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA

Ok! So, day Twenty Two was suppose to be a letter to someone who hurt you recently. But I really don't have anyone to write it to and even if I did I wouldn't want to post it for the world to see. So, I decided to tell you about what I had for supper last night.

BBQ Chicken pizza, It was so delicious. I didn't take pictures, But its so easy you don't really need pictures, right?!

The night before we had ordered William's BBQ Chicken and we had left over chicken and BBQ sauce.

I went to the grocery store and just got a pack of  pizza dough. It's right beside the spaghetti stuff. And I picked up a small bag of mozzarella cheese.

Set your oven for 475 degrees

You take the pizza mix and 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Sprinkle a little flour on it because its very sticky and roll it into a ball. Rub it with a little vegetable oil and let it set for about 5 minutes to rise.

Next, take the dough out on your cookie sheet or pizza sheet and spread it out. Take a fork and poke holes all over it. Place it in the oven for about 5 minutes.

Now, its time for the yummy toppings. I took my leftover BBQ sauce and spread it all over the pizza. I put a ton of it because its so yummy. Next is the cheese and then top it off with the BBQ chicken.

Cook it for about 8 minutes until the cheese is melted and the chicken is heated.

Its so easy and yummy!

ENJOY!

It's a Luau, BABY!

This past weekend my mom, myself and the kids packed up and headed south to Prattville for the weekend. Our cousin, Mary lives down there and she has a BEAUTIFUL home and pool. She has 2 sons: Will, 10 and Ben, 8!  We had a blast. We got there Friday around Noon and met up for lunch at McAlister's. They have the best sweet tea. We then went to Mary's house and started swimming immediately. This was the first time I've ever been in a salt water pool. There are zero chemicals. Its so clean and refreshing. If we ever get a pool I'm getting a salt water pool.  So, we swam all afternoon and all day Saturday. Then Saturday night we had a Luau. We had chicken kabobs, Shrimp n grits, homemade Oreo and Rolo ice cream, Sandbox cake, and yummy Pina Colada.

Sunday was arts and crafts day. We made owls out of pine cones and decorated bird houses.

We had so much fun and I can't wait to go back!

Mary's gorgeous pool!
